Feleena assisted STEM students at Coalinga High School install a moisture sensor at the highest point in the Aera Energy Coalinga oil field that monitored crops 45 miles away in Hanford. A proactive media release was sent using PR Newswire. The story was covered by ABC 7 out of Los Angeles.

Aera Energy was known for creating Born Learning Trails in their communities. A Born Learning Trail is a public outdoor trail with interactive signs and painted activities that guide parents and caregivers through fun, simple games to boost early childhood learning. Feleena made room in her budget to place the first-Born Learning Trail in Fresno County at Keck Park in Coalinga. A year later, Huron received a Born Learning Trail, as well.

From 2014 to 2015 Feleena sold, produced and hosted a cooking show named Valley Delicious. The show aired once a week in the three o’clock hour on KSEE 24 and then be repurposed for the morning news on CBS 47. First, we met the farmer who grew the commodity, then we visited Save Mart to speak to a produce manager to learn how to pick the best fruits and vegetables. Next, we cooked a healthy meal in a DeYoung model home and finally paired the meal with a local wine.
